Derek got a speeding ticket...90 bucks later

We have finally arrived at the Wilcox home in Ogden, Utah after many days of packing, moving, and unpacking.  We had a lot of stuff.  We will take pictures of our new room once we're good and moved in with pictures on the wall and everything.

I had a job interview today.  We'll see how it goes.

Pretty much we're just counting down the days until we're in Disneyland... 7

Tomorrow morning we are going to play MarioKart on N64 instead of watching cartoons because we're going to be kids this week and next week until we start work on the 27th.  Anyway, nothing too productive to report.  I made dinner tonight for the family.  The Wilcox parents were relieved.  :)

Have a wonderful day!

Easter morning

This Easter morning was a delightful one.  For breakfast we had a nice bowl of oatmeal, then Derek also had some Goobers, fruit snacks, left over pizza, and ice cream.  It's days like this that I feel pretty healthy.

The Easter Bunny came... sort of.  ((Don't let your little ones read the rest of this.  I don't want to be the one to ruin their innocent beliefs and hopes and dreams... mine were ruined this morning))

According to Derek, the Easter Duck came, decorated our door... and stayed.  He brought us some Goobers purchased at the store last night, some fruit snack and Raisenets from the cupboard, and Reese's Pieces that Jon and Mary bought for us.  Either we were really bad this year, or he was trying to tell us that we already have enough candy.  Either way, Derek wants more.  We will be celebrating Easter tomorrow... because the candy will be on sale.

Here is a picture of the Duck and the treats he brought us.

Conference Weekend

This last weekend was a much needed break in preparation for a much stressful week.  Friday night we got to go to Derek's mission reunion, and I got to watch President Ellsworth do all the quirky things Derek always talks about.  It's true... everything Derek says he does, President really does.

Saturday we got to spend time with Cara and Stephen as we watched the first session of Conference.  We went to Wal-mart in our pajamas then eat some fluffy German pancakes made by Stephen.  They were dang good!

We met Barry Thomas (Californian that Derek baptized) and his Elder's Quorum President and  ate lunch with them at the Elder's Quorum President's mom's house.  Tho food was good, and the company was interesting.  Talking to Barry was fun.  He seemed to be doing well.

Saturday night, Derek had the opportunity of sitting in the media room of the Conference Center and see how that all worked out.  He got to show up a BYU student, drink juice, eat candy, and read the talks before they were given.  All-in-all a good experience.

While he did that, I got to dye eggs, plant flowers, eat hot dogs, and play with all the nieces and nephews.  I'm pretty sure he got the short end of the stick on that one.

Sunday we ate food, watched conference, and played as reverently as we could with the nieces and nephews.  Kenadi cracks me up!  I'm pretty sure we were both entertained with each other for an hour, and nothing could distract us.  Traveling back to Rexburg was good.  If the weekend could have been longer, we would have both preferred that... I think.  I didn't ask Derek, but i think he'd agree.

So, now we're back at school studying and working and stressing... at least I am.  And now it's time to practice for my juries (finals for voice lessons).  Tomorrow at 9:50 (10:50 Mississippi time) please pray for me.  I'm struggling on some words and entrances.  Ok, I'm out for today.  We love you all!
